I love coconut and pineapple--and this is a really nice blend of the two.

Ingredients

  • 1 - yellow cake mix, mixed as directed
  • TOPPING
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • FROSTING
  • 1 - 16 oz. cool whip
  • 1 - small instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 - 15 oz. crushed pineapple and juice
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

How To Make hawaiian wedding cake

  • Step 1
    Pour yellow cake batter into a greased and floured jelly-roll pan; Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Place all topping ingredients into a saucepan, bring to a boil, and simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Step 3
    While cake is hot, poke holes all over it with a fork and then spoon the topping mixture over the cake; cool completely.
  • Step 4
    Mix together the Cool Whip, pudding mix, coconut and crushed pineapple and juice; then add the powdered sugar.
  • Step 5
    Frost cake and sprinkle with additional coconut (if desired) and refrigerate.
