Anyone who loves pineapple asks for this recipe. This cake always turns out moist. If you don't care for cream cheese, you could use buttercream frosting.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can pineapple, crushed with juice (20 oz)
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • FROSTING
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/3 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make hawaiian fruitcake

  • Step 1
    Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Combine flour, sugar, eggs, baking soda, vanilla extract, salt, pineapple, and walnuts in a large bowl. Mix by hand.
  • Step 2
    Pour into a greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 325 for 40-50 minutes.
  • Step 3
    For the frosting, mix the cream cheese, confectioners' sugar, butter and vanilla extract. When the cake is cooled, frost.
