An Oldie, but Goodie! My mom got this recipe from a tag on her Galliano bottle way back in the 1970's. For years, it was her signature dessert. I resurrected the recipe a few Easter's ago. It's a wonderful treat!

    yellow cake mix
  • 1 3.5 oz pkg
    instant vanilla pudding
  • 4
  • 1/2 c
    vegetable oil
  • 5 oz
    galliano liqueur
  • 2 oz
  • 1/2 c
    orange juice
  • 1 c
    confectioner's sugar

How to Make Harvey Wallbanger cake


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour on 10 inch bundt pan.
  2. Combine cake mix and pudding mix in a large bowl. Blend in eggs, vegetable oil, 4 oz Galliano, 1 oz vodka and 4 oz of orange juice. Mix batter until smooth and thick. Pour into prepared pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Let cake cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove and place on cooling rack for another ten minutes, place on cake dish.
  4. While cake is cooling make glaze. Combine remaining 1 oz Galliano, 1 oz vodka and 1 oz orange juice with confectioner's sugar. Blend until smooth. Spoon over warm cake. I double the glaze recipe, it tastes better with more stuff.
