Harvest Apple Cake
Don't think you have added too many apples. There is barely enough batter to cover all of the apples. The recipe does list adding nuts as an option. For some reason, I've never made it with nuts.
How to Make Harvest Apple Cake
- Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a bundt or tube pan.
- Cream oil, salt, sugar, cinnamon, eggs and vanilla. Stir in sliced apples. Sift flour and baking soda and add to creamed mixture.
- Pour into prepared pan and bake approx. 45 minutes. If a tube pan is used, add 10-15 minutes to baking time.
- Dust with confectioner's sugar after cake has cooled completely.
