This is a quick and easy cake to make when in a pinch. I got it from the Divide School Cookbook.

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 cups flour
1 cup sour cream
3 - eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- jelly (any flavor)

How To Make hard times cake

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2

Mix all ingredients except jelly together.
Step 3

Pour into 2 greased round cake pans.
Step 4

Bake 35-50 minutes or until top of cake springs back when pushed lightly with your fingertips.
Step 5

Let cool a few minutes; spread jelly on top of each layer while still warm.
