this is my very first cake i ever made at 7 years old. taken off the calumet baking powder can.

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups sifted flour
3 teaspoons calumet baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2 - eggs
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make happy day cake

Step 1

put flour, baking powder, salt,and sugar in a sifter. cream shortening. sift in flour mixture. add 3/4 cup milk, beat2 minutes on low speed. add eggs, vanilla, and rest of milk. beat 1 minute.

Step 2

pour into two 9 inch greased round pans. bake at 375 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
