guinness pub pound cake
This pound cake is fantastic served warm with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and homemade caramel sauce. Of course the alcohol burns out, but there is a slight flavor of Guinness Stout to the cake that makes it yummy!

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup guinness irish stout
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 16 ounces box betty crocker poundcake mix
- 2 large eggs
How To Make guinness pub pound cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray a 9" loaf pan with cooking spray. Set aside.

Step 2In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat together the Guinness, vanilla extract, cake mix, and eggs until smooth batter forms. Pour into cake pan.

Step 3Bake in preheated oven for 50-55 mins. or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

Step 4Remove from oven and cool 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to cooling rack.

Step 5Serve warm sliced cake with vanilla ice cream.
