I love this cake. I forgot I had the recipe. My mom and aunt used to make this cake all the time. A member of my aunt's church used to make her make this cake for all their pot luck meals.

Ingredients
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 - eggs
- 2 cups apples-peeled and diced
- 1 cup nuts-chopped (i use pecans)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ICING
- 5 tablespoons flour
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ***PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES***
How To Make green apple cake

Step 1In a medium bowl, combine oil, sugar, salt and baking soda. Add eggs, apples, nuts and vanilla. Pour mixture evenly into 3 round cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool on a wire rack.

Step 2Mix the flour and milk. Cook in a medium sauce pan until very thick. Let cool completely. Cream the butter and sugar using a mixer. SLOWLY Add the flour/milk mixture to the butter/sugar mixture. Add vanilla and beat into mixture until fluffy. Ice the cooled cake layers.
