This was originally a flag cake recipe but I changed the design since the 4th of July holiday had passed. I made 2 of these to take to work and It was a big hit. The icing is the best I have ever tasted and it is so easy to make.

Recipe was for a flag cake but since the 4th had passed I changed the decorating design a bit. Still taste great and is so easy. I will never buy icing again!

Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix
1 1/2 boxes cream cheese (softened)
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 pints strawberries, fresh
1 pint blueberries
3 - eggs
1/3 cup oil
1 1/2 cups water

How To Make great summer cake

Step 1

Prepare cake mix according to package and bake in 9-by-13 inch pan. Cool completely

Step 2

Frosting: Beat together cream cheese and sugar until thoroughly combined.Add vanilla and continue to beat until light and fluffy. Spread on cool cake.
Step 3

Using the strawberries and blue berries decorate the top of cake in what ever great design you come up with. It will be awesome. I sliced my strawberries in half.
