This is a recipe from my husband's Grandmother (My Mother-in-law's mother) that was written in a local hometown recipe book, made for a fundraiser. "The Art of Cooking in Egg Harbor City" (NJ). There is no date on the cookbook, so I don't exactly when it was printed. I've written the directions exactly as she had them listed.
