- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup oil
- 1 cup hot coffee
- 1 cup milk
- 2 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 5 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
How To Make granny's moist chocolate cake

Step 1preheat oven to 325 degrees; grease and flour the pan.

Step 2Sift together dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.

Step 3Add oil, coffee and milk; mix at medium speed for 2 minutes.

Step 4Add eggs and vanilla; mix 2 more minutes (batter will be thin)

Step 5pour into pan and bake at 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes. cool on wire racks.

Step 6meanwhile, for icing, combine the milk and flour in a saucepan; cook until thick. cover and refrigerate.

Step 7in a mixing bowl beat butter, shortening, sugar and vanilla until creamy.

Step 8add chilled milk and flour mixture and beat for 10 minutes.

Step 9frost cooled cake and serve.
