This recipe has been passed down in my husband's family. My precious mother-in-law gave it to me before her death. It is always a request at family events.

Ingredients

  • 3 sticks butter, room temperature
  • 1 package 8 oz cream cheese
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups cake flour
  • 6 - eggs

How To Make granny kate's cream cheese pound cake

  • Step 1
    Cream butter and cream cheese.
  • Step 2
    Add sugar and mix in well.
  • Step 3
    Add eggs one at a time, beating after each.
  • Step 4
    Add flour, beating until mixed well.
  • Step 5
    Add in vanilla extract and mix well. Pour into a greased tube pan and bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
