Ingredients
- 8 tablespoons or 1 stick of soft butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup molasses
- 1 - egg
- 2 1/4 cups flour -all-purpose
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons ginger
- 2 teaspoons cinnoman
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 teaspoon grated orange zest
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
How To Make grandma's gingerbread

Step 1preheat oven to (350*) in a medium bowl. beat butter in with sugar and molasses.

Step 2mix in egg.

Step 3sift all dry ingredients.

Step 4add; to the mixture alternately with water. just until combined.

Step 5bake in greased 9 inch square pan. bake 40 minutes.
