1 1/2 coil (i use canola)
3 cshredded carrots
1/4 tspblack walnut extract
2 cself rising flour
How to Make GRANDMA'S CARROT CAKE
- mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.
- Bake in a tube pan greased and floured at 350 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
- While cake is baking prepare the topping:
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 Tablespoon white corn syrup
mix and stir constantly - let come to a rolling boil
boil 5-7 minutes. Pour over cake when it comes from the oven.
- Let cake cool in pan.
