I love this easy to make carrot cake! Combine it with Tillie's White Sauce Frosting and you have the perfect not-too-sweet desert. Perfect for a fall finale to any meal. Or take it to a potluck.

Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 ½ cups cooking oil
- 4 - eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 3 cups grated carrots
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- ½ to ¾ cups nuts ~ optional or adjustable amts to preference
How To Make grandma's carrot cake

Step 1Grease and flour 8x12 OR 9x13 cake pan. Pre-heat oven to 350°. ( layer pans work fine too.)

Step 2Mix together: sugar, cooking oil, eggs.

Step 3Sift together and add to first mixture: flour, baking soda and salt.

Step 4Add: grated carrots, cinnamon and nuts.

Step 5Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Cool. Frost with Tillie's White Sauce Frosting.
