- 2 sticks butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 - eggs
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cultured buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
How To Make grandma's buttermilk pound cake

Step 1Cream the butter and sugar well. Add slightly beaten eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.

Step 2Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with the buttermilk. Add vanilla.

Step 3Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake in 325 degree oven for 70 minutes.

Step 4Loosen gently and remove from pan immediately. Cool on cake rack.
