This is my dad’s mom’s recipe and we have been enjoying it for years. She always made it when we came to visit her in Nashville, TN. Hope your family loves it too!

Ingredients
- 3 cups sugar
- 2 sticks butter, room temperature
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups sifted cake flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
How To Make grandma pond's pound cake

Step 1Cream butter and sugar in large bowl.

Step 2Add eggs and mix well.

Step 3Mix in sour cream and vanilla. Mix well.

Step 4Add in sifted cake flour and baking soda. Don't over mix or the cake will be heavy.

Step 5Bake 1 hr. 15 min on 350 degrees and then lower temperature to 325 until done. Test with cake tester - don't overcook. Melts in your mouth!
