- 3 tablespoons shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon clove, ground
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 cup nut meats
- 1/2 cup raisins or dates

Step 1Put together in order given, Bake in moderate oven at 350* until done. Also makes a good fruit cake mix, you can use cut up mixed flavors of gumdrops, or a fruit cake mix of fruits. Mix in order and add soup and flour alternately. Bake for 45 minutes or longer until tested done. Depends on size of the pans. Grandma used to bake in soup cans. then cut out the bottom and push bread out ~
