How to Make Gramma's Pound Cake
- Cream butter and sugar together till light and fluffy
Add salt and flavorings(I use almond extract, lemon, chocolate or whatever flavor you like)
- Add flour and an egg, beating well after each. When all the flour and eggs are mixed in the batter, beat for another 2-4 minutes at high speed. The air you beat into the cake will make it rise, so it is important that it is beat well.
- Bake at 350 degrees for one hour in a well greased tube pan. Check if done by inserting a toothpick near the center of pan.
