1Measure 2 c. flour, 1 c. sugar, 6 tsp. baking cocoa, 2 tsp. baking soda and 1 tsp. salt into a bowl.
2Add the mayonnaise (I’ve always used salad dressing—it seems better to me) and 1 cup of cold water.
Add 1 tsp. Vanilla. Beat well.
3Pour into greased and floured round cake pans or oblong pan.
4Bake at 350 degrees F. for about 45 minutes.
