Ingredients

2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
6 teaspoons baking cocoa
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/8 cups mayonnaise
1 cup cold water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make gramma's mayonnaise cake

Step 1

Measure 2 c. flour, 1 c. sugar, 6 tsp. baking cocoa, 2 tsp. baking soda and 1 tsp. salt into a bowl.

Step 2

Add the mayonnaise (I’ve always used salad dressing—it seems better to me) and 1 cup of cold water. Add 1 tsp. Vanilla. Beat well.
Step 3

Pour into greased and floured round cake pans or oblong pan.
Step 4

Bake at 350 degrees F. for about 45 minutes.
