This is an upside down variation of Paula Deen's Gooey butter cake recipe. My family loves it.

Ingredients
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 box german chocolate cake (and ingredients needed to prepare it)
- 1 pound confectioner's sugar (or 4 cups)
- 1 package 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1 cup butter
How To Make gooey upside down german chocolate cake

Step 1Flour and grease a 9x13 pan

Step 2Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 3Sprinkle coconut and pecans in bottom of pan.

Step 4Prepare cake mix per box instructions.

Step 5Pour prepared cake batter over coconut and pecans.

Step 6Mix confectioner's sugar, cream cheese, and butter in a medium bowl until well blended.

Step 7Pour/spoon over cake batter - do NOT mix it.

Step 8Back 50-55 minutes.
