How to Make GOOEY CHOCOLATE CAST IRON SKILLET CAKE
- In a large bowl whisk together flour,baking soda,sugar,salt set aside
- in a 10inch cast iron skillet bring to a boil the butter,vegetable oil, cocoa powder, and water
remove from heat - whisk in all the dry ingredients
then add the buttermilk, egg, and vanilla extract
stir all together - Then bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 mins
till the toothpick comes out with just a few moist crumbs - while cake starts to cool
- In a sauce pan bring to a boil butter, cocoa, and milk then remove from heat
- then add the powder sugar,nuts, and vanilla extract and stir well
pour over cake and spread out - This cake is really good served with vanilla ice cream and carmel sauce
