Ingredients
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 6 tablespoons cocoa, unsweetened
- 2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 cups cold water
- FROSTING
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup cocoa, unsweetened
- 1 cup boiling water
- 3 tablespoons butter or margarine (if using salted butter, omit salt)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
How To Make gooey chocolate cake with chocolate frosting

Step 1Grease and lightly flour a 9X13 baking pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2You can use a standing mixer with this recipe or combine by hand. Combine all dry ingredients into a bowl and blend.

Step 3Combine all wet ingredients in a seperate bowl, if mixing by hand.

Step 4Make a well in the dry ingredients and pour wet ingredients into the well. Mix until well blended.

Step 5Pour into prepared baking dish and bake for 35 minutes.

Step 6Once cake is done, begin making the frosting.

Step 7In a medium sauce pan, mix sugar, cornstarch; add chocolate and salt. Add boiling water, slowly stiring constantly. Begin cooking on medium high setting. Add butter and vanilla. Cook until the mixture thickens into a pudding consistency. Pour over warm cake.
