    baking soda
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 3/4 c
    molasses
  • 3/4 c
    water
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    ginger
  • 1/4 tsp
    cloves
  • 3/4 c
    vegetable oil
  • 2
    large eggs
  • TOPPING INGREDIENTS

  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/3 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    butter

How to Make Ginger Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Grease and flour bundt pan.
  2. Combine all ingredients for cake.
  3. Blend and beat for 3 minutes.
  4. Bake 55 minutes at 350. Remove from oven.
  5. Prick deeply with fork every inch.
  6. Mix and heat topping. Spoon over hot cake.
  7. Cool upright in pan for 30 minutes; turn onto serving plate.
  8. Serve warm or cool with whipped cream.
