Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups raisins
- 1 1/2 cups chopped dates
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups apple cider
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup chopped toasted pecans

Step 1Simmer first five ingredients for 20 minutes then cool

Step 2sift together remaining ingredients except Pecans. Combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients and pour into a greased 8 inch square baking pan.

Step 3Top with pecan halves and bake at 325 for 1-1 1/2 hour.
