- 1 package german chocolate cake mix
- 2/3 cup evaporated milk
- 3/4 cup butter, melted
- 16 ounces bag caramels
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 8 ounces chocolate chips

Step 1Combine cake mix, 1/3 cup evaporated milk and melted butter.

Step 2Spread half of mixture in bottom of 9 x 13\" cake pan.

Step 3Bake 5 minutes at 350.

Step 4Heat the caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk until melted.

Step 5On the baked layer, spread the pecans and chocolate chips and the melted caramels and milk mixture.

Step 6Top with the other half of cake batter.

Step 7Bake 20 minutes at 350.
