Ingredients

  • 1 c
    pecans, chopped
  • 1 c
    flaked coconut
  • 16 1/2 oz
    german chocolate cake mix
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 16 oz
    powdered sugar
  • 2 1/2 oz
    snickers candy bar
  • 3/4 c
    evaporated milk
  • ·
    whipped cream or vanilla ice cream

How to Make German Chocolate Parfait

Step-by-Step

  1. Sprinkle pecans and coconut in the bottom of a 9X13 pan coated with cooking spray.
  2. Prepare cake mix according to package directions; pour over pecans and coconut.
  3. Melt cream cheese and butter in a saucepan over low heat; add powdered sugar, stirring until blended.
  4. Pour over cake batter.
  5. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
  6. Melt candy bar and evaporated milk in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  7. Let cool slightly.
  8. Poke holes in top of cake using a fork; slowly pour chocolate mixture over top.
  9. Let stand 30 minutes.
  10. Serve cake in balloon style red wine glasses or a large martini glass.
  11. Top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
