Easy to make, moist and delicious dump cake.

  • 1 c
    coconut, shredded
  • 1-1/2 c
    chopped, toasted pecans, divided
  • 1 pkg
    cake mix, devils food
  • 1
    (8 ounce) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 c
    butter, melted
  • 2 tsp
  • 2 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c
    chocolate chips

How to Make German Chocolate Dump Cake


  1. In a greased 9 X 13 inch baking pan, sprinkle coconut and 1 cup pecans.
  2. Prepare cake mix as directed on box.
    Pour batter into pan.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla until smooth; beat in powdered sugar. Stir in chocolate chips and remaining pecans.
    Soon over batter.
  4. Cut the batter with a knife to swirl.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Cool in pan on wire rack.
