Ingredients

  • 1 cup coconut, shredded
  • 1-1/2 cup chopped, toasted pecans, divided
  • 1 package cake mix, devils food
  • 1 (8 ounce) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

How To Make german chocolate dump cake

  • Step 1
    In a greased 9 X 13 inch baking pan, sprinkle coconut and 1 cup pecans.
  • Step 2
    Prepare cake mix as directed on box. Pour batter into pan.
  • Step 3
    In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla until smooth; beat in powdered sugar. Stir in chocolate chips and remaining pecans. Soon over batter.
  • Step 4
    Cut the batter with a knife to swirl. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack.
