This is a great way to enjoy both cheese cake and german chocolate cake. The recipe would be easy to modify for the calorie conscious. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg
    german chocolate cake mix with pudding
  • 16 oz
    cream cheese
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • FROSTING

  • 1 c
    milnot
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    flaked coconut
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 3
    egg yolks
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla

How to Make German Chocolate Cheesecake

Step-by-Step

  1. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Pour 1/2 batter into greased 9 x 13-inch pan. In seperate bowl, whip cream cheese, eggs and sugar. Pour this cheese mixture over the batter in the pan. Then add remaining batter. Bake at 325 for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours. Cool completerly and then frost.
  2. Combine all frosting ingedients in saucepan. Cook over medium heat until it thickens. Cool. Spread over cooled cake. Keep cake refrigerated.
