This is a great way to enjoy both cheese cake and german chocolate cake. The recipe would be easy to modify for the calorie conscious. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 package german chocolate cake mix with pudding
  • 16 ounces cream cheese
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • FROSTING
  • 1 cup milnot
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 - egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla

How To Make german chocolate cheesecake

  • Step 1
    Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Pour 1/2 batter into greased 9 x 13-inch pan. In seperate bowl, whip cream cheese, eggs and sugar. Pour this cheese mixture over the batter in the pan. Then add remaining batter. Bake at 325 for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours. Cool completerly and then frost.
  • Step 2
    Combine all frosting ingedients in saucepan. Cook over medium heat until it thickens. Cool. Spread over cooled cake. Keep cake refrigerated.
