Ingredients
- CAKE
- 1 1/2 cups small curd cottage cheese (12 oz)
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 box pillsbury plus white cake mix
- TOPPING
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 cup almonds, slivered
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
How To Make german almond coffee cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 350*. Grease and flour 2 8" or 9" round cake pans.

Step 2In a medium saucepan heat sugar, butter and milk to boiling and boil for 1 minute. Stir in almonds and extract. Set aside to cool while preparing the cake.

Step 3In a large bowl beat cottage cheese, milk, flavor, and eggs. Add the cake mix and beat 1 min.

Step 4Spread in prepared pans and spoon topping evenly over batter.

Step 5Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
