Ingredients

  • 1 pkg
    gelatin, strawberry
  • 1 pkg
    cake mix, white
  • TOPPING INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pkg
    whipped topping mix
  • 1 pkg
    pudding, vanilla
  • 1.5 c
    milk, cold
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How to Make Gelatin Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Dissolve gelatin in 3/4 cup boiling water; add 1/2 cup cold water and set aside at room temperature.
  2. Mix and bake cake as directed in 9x13 pan; cool 20-25 minutes.
  3. Poke holes in cake with end of wooden spoon, about 1 1/2 inches apart; with cup, slowly pour gelatin mixture into holes.
  4. Refrigerate cake and prepare topping.
  5. In chilled bowl, blend whipped topping mix, pudding, cold milk and vanilla until stiff, 3-8 minutes.
  6. Immediately frost cake.
  7. Store in refrigerator and serve chilled.
