Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 - eggs
- pinch - salt
- 1 - large can fruit cocktail, undrained
- 1 stick margarine (must be stick form)
- 2/3 cup canned evaporated milk
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
How To Make fruit cocktail cake

Step 1preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9 x 13 pan. Mix together first 7 ingredients in large bowl. Pour into prepared pan and bake approximately 45 minutes or until cake reaches a deep golden color and springs back when pressed in center

Step 2While cake is baking, in a medium saucepan, mix the 1 stick margarine, 2/3 cup evaporated milk, 1 1/4 cup sugar and the vanilla extract and bring to boil. once boiling, let it boil for 3 minutes then remove from heat. Once cake is done pour this glaze over hot cake and allow cake to cool completely
