This was my moms recipe. I am not a fruit cake lover but I absolutely love this one,

Ingredients

  • 1 medium coconut
  • 1 pound black walnuts
  • 1 pound dates, chopped
  • 1/2 pound red cherries, candied
  • 1/2 pound green cherries, candied
  • 1 pound seedless raisins
  • 1/2 pound figs
  • 1 pound chopped pecans
  • 1/2 pound candied pineapple
  • 1 cup self rising flour
  • 1 1/2 cans eagle brand milk

How To Make fruit cake

  • Step 1
    Coat fruit and nuts with flour, mix well
  • Step 2
    Add milk, mix well
  • Step 3
    Pack tightly in a greased and floured tube pan
  • Step 4
    Cook @ 250 degrees for 1 hour and 15 min.
  • Step 5
    Cool and store in a tight container
