Just in time for the holidays, these bars are divine and I could eat them by the dozen. That's why I don't make them but once a year.

    vegetable oil
  • 1 can(s)
    15oz solid pack pumpkin
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp

  • 1 pkg
    3 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1/4 c
    butter, softened
  • 1 tsp
  • 1-2 Tbsp

How to Make Frosted Pumpkin Bars


  1. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs, sugar, oil and pumpkin. Combine flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt; gradually add to pumpkin mixture and mix well. Pour into an ungreased 15"x10"x1" baking pan( a cookie sheet with an edge will work)
  2. Bake 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely.
  3. For icing, beat cream cheese, sugar and butter and vanilla in small mixing bowl. Add enough milk to achieve desired spreading consistency. Spread over bars.
