frosted banana bars
This recipe is from Taste of Home. I have been using this since the early 1990's. It makes a large cookie sheet and is always a hit at potlucks.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 - eggs
- 1 1/2 cups bananas, mashed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- FROSTING
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 package cream cheese, room temperature (8 ounces)
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
How To Make frosted banana bars

Step 1Cream margarine, sugar and eggs. Mix bananas and vanilla in.

Step 2Add flour, baking soda and salt.

Step 3Grease a cookie sheet and put batter into pan.

Step 4Bake at 350 degrees for 18-23 minutes. Cool.

Step 5Mix frosting ingredients and spread on cooled bars.
