My mother knows my passion is baking and therefore she is always giving me recipes she finds in magazines, papers, etc. She said this recipe reminded her of strawberry shortcake and thought I might like to try it since I take desserts to church functions, Bunko, etc. This cake is so moist and I absolutely love it. A keeper for sure!

Ingredients
- 2 cups crushed fresh strawberries
- 6 ounces strawberry gelatin (dry)
- 3 cups miniature marshmallows
- 18 ounces pkg. yellow cake mix

Step 1Spray Pam on 9 x 13" pan. Spread crushed strawberries on the bottom of pan. Evenly sprinkle the dry Jello mix over the strawberries. Top with the miniature marshmallows.

Step 2Prepare the cake mix according to the package directions. Pour over the marshmallows.

Step 3Bake at 350 degrees for 40 - 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes in pan. Run knife around the sides to loosen. Invert onto serving tray. Store cake in refrigerator. I used a Butter Cake and it was delicious!
