This recipe was shared to me from my friend Emily. It has become a fast favorite for our family. It’s very easy to make and so delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 (3 oz) box strawberry jello
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh strawberries
  • FROSTING
  • 1- 8 oz packages cream cheese softened
  • 1 - 16 oz packages cool whip thawed
  • 1 cup confectionery sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped strawberries

How To Make fresh strawberry cake

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients together on low speed for one minute. Scrape down sides and mix on medium for 2 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Pour batter into 3- 8 or 9 inch cake pans
  • Step 3
    Bake for 23 minutes at 350 degrees or until cake is done. Let cool in pans on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Turn out layers and cool completely before frosting.
  • Step 4
    For frosting, mix all ingredients until combined except strawberries. Add berries last and mix well.
