sugar

nuts, chopped
1 c
dates, chopped ( mix with a small amount of flour to prevent sticking together)
2/3 c
butter, melted

eggs, beaten
2 tsp
vanilla extract
2 c
all purpose flour
2 tsp
baking soda
2 tsp
cinnamon
2 tsp
allspice, ground
1 tsp
cardamon, ground
1/2 tsp
salt

How to Make Fresh Apple Spice Cake

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a large bowl, sift all the dry ingredients and set aside
  • 2Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan. Perheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 3Peel, core and finely chop the apples place into a large bowl. Mix in: sugar, vanilla, beaten eggs, melted butter, nuts and dates.
  • 4With a wooden spoon, mix dry ingredients into the apple mixture. Mix only until moistened, do not over mix. Pour into prepared pan and bake at 350 degrees 50 to 60 minutes.
  • 5When cake is done remove from oven and cool 5 to 10 minutes. Turn out onto a serving plate. Let cool. Sprinkle with powered sugar or frost with an icing of your choice.
