THIS RECIPE CAME FROM A SPECIAL FRIEND WHO'S MOTHER DIED FROM BREAST CANCER. MY MOTHER HAD THIS CAKE MODIFIED FOR HER OWN SPECIALTY BY USING BLACK WALNUTS AND EXCLUDING THE CINNAMON.

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

3 c
peeled golden delicious ,apples raw diced
2 c
white sugar
1 1/2 c
canola or crisco oil
3 large
eggs
2 tsp
vanilla
3 c
plain flour i use hudson cream
1 tsp
salt
1 tsp
soda,
1 c
walnuts diced may use english or black walnut
1 tsp
cinnamon

How to Make Fresh Apple Cake

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mix flour, salt,soda{baking}. Mix sugar.oil, eggs.apples.,vanilla add flour with cinnamon mix then stir in nuts.
  • 2Bake in a greased and floured tube pan on 350 degrees for 1 hour.
  • 3Topping for cake:
    1/2 stick butter
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    2tbsp. milk or more if needed
    MElt butter, Mix all ingredients together.Boil for 3 min and pour over hot cake after it has been removed from pan.````
