I got this recipe from a Male Co-Worker in the 1960's and have been making this ever since. The secret is to mix with a "FORK" not a beater. Hope you enjoy as much as we have. The family still request this cake first.

Ingredients
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 - eggs (beaten)
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups sliced thin apples
- 1 cup nuts (pecans)(can sub choc chips)
How To Make fresh apple cake

Step 1Stir together the Oil, Sugar, and eggs(beaten) with a FORK.

Step 2Mix together Flour, Soda, Salt.

Step 3Add Flour Mixture Slowly (with fork)to Liquid Mixture,then add vanilla.

Step 4Next,mix in Apples and Nuts (or choc chips). Bake at 350 degrees for about 1Hr 15 min.Check at 1 hr, depending on your oven. Bake in Greased and Floured Tube Pan. It will appear "flaky" when you put into pan. Hope you Enjoy!
