An old favorite from the 80s while working in Texas and our group used to have "spreads". Texan for pot luck.

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 box french vanilla instant pudding
  • 1/3 cup poppy seeds
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • 1/2 cup port wine or sherry
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 large eggs

How To Make french vanilla poppy seed cake

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients into large mixing bowl.
  • Step 2
    Beat for 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Pour or spoon into greased and flour bundt pan. I use baking spray with flour in it.
  • Step 4
    Bake 325 degrees for 50 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Step 5
    Cool for 40 minutes and turn onto cake plate.
