An old favorite from the 80s while working in Texas and our group used to have "spreads". Texan for pot luck.

Ingredients

  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix
  • 1 box
    french vanilla instant pudding
  • 1/3 c
    poppy seeds
  • 1/2 c
    cooking oil
  • 1/2 c
    port wine or sherry
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 4 large
    eggs

How to Make French Vanilla Poppy Seed Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine all ingredients into large mixing bowl.
  2. Beat for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour or spoon into greased and flour bundt pan. I use baking spray with flour in it.
  4. Bake 325 degrees for 50 minutes to 1 hour.
  5. Cool for 40 minutes and turn onto cake plate.
