I create a new kind of layer cake recipe with a French vanilla custard on the cake filling. Made with French vanilla flavored liquid creamer.

1 cheavy cream

1 cmilk

1/4 cmargarine

1/2 ccane sugar

1/2 tspsea salt

1/2 cwater

2 Tbspcorn starch

4 lgegg yolks

3/4 cFrench vanilla liquid creamer
- FROSTING

1 tubefrozen whipped topping, thawed

8 ozcream cheese, softened

3/4 cmarshmallow creme

3/4 cFrench vanilla liquid creamer
How To Make french vanilla custard layer cake

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat two 9 round cake pans with cooking spray.

2Whisk the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, egg whites, cane sugar, and vanilla extract together in a large bowl for 3 minutes until combined.

3Pour into prepared cake pans. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely for 15 minutes.

4For the filling, in a medium saucepan, add heavy cream, milk, margarine, cane sugar, and sea salt. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.

5In a medium bowl, whisk water and corn starch until smooth. Then whisk in egg yolks. Pour into heavy cream mixture over medium heat and whisk until thickened for 5 minutes.

6Remove from heat. Stir in liquid creamer. Reserve in 3/4 cup and set aside.

7For the frosting, in another medium bowl, combine whipped topping, cream cheese, marshmallow creme, liquid creamer, and 3/4 cup custard mixture; mix well for 2 minutes until blended and smooth.

8Place one layer of cake on the serving plate. Spread half of the custard mixture onto the cake.

9Place a second cake on top. Spread the frosting on the sides of the cake.

10Spread the remaining custard mixture on top of the cake. Refrigerate for 15 minutes before serving.
