This is fast, easy, makes a lot and I usually have the ingredients on hand.

Ingredients

  • 2 large banana, mashed
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk or sour milk
  • FROSTING:
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 3/4 stick butter
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

How To Make fluffy banana cake

  • Step 1
    Cream together sugar and butter. Add eggs, mix well and add mashed bananas. Sift dry ingredients together. Add a little at a time with the buttermilk and vanilla. Baked in a greased 10"x15" pan.
  • Step 2
    Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool and frost.
