This recipe has been a favorite in my family for years. Similar to Hostess Suzy Q's, but even better! It disappears as soon as we make it!!

Ingredients
- CAKE
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 sticks margarine or butter
- 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 cup water
- 2 - eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sour milk
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- FLUFFY FILLING
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sugar
How To Make flip cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 375. Grease 11x17x1 cookie sheet

Step 2Sift together 2 cups sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 2 cups flour.

Step 3Bring to boil: 2 sticks margarine, 4 tablespoons cocoa, and 1 cup water

Step 4Beat together: 2 eggs, 1 tablespoon vanilla, 1/2 cup sour milk (mix milk with 1 tablespoon vinegar), and 1 teaspoon baking soda.

Step 5Mix everything together. Pour into greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes. Cool. Cut cake in half

Step 6For filling.... Cook 4 tablespoons flour in 1 cup milk until thick. Let cool to lukewarm or room temp.

Step 7Cream 1 cup shortening, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1 cup sugar together.

Step 8Add flour mixture and beat well

Step 9Spread on half the cake. Flip second half on top
