- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 3 - eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 2/3 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup fig preserves with juice
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup raisins
- BUTTERY CARAMEL GLAZE FOR CAKE
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar packed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees.Cream sugar and oil. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each. Stir next 7 ingredients together. Add nuts and raisins. Stir in flour mixture and add alternately with buttermilk to creamed mixture. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hr.

Step 2For glaze, melt butter and add sugars. Stir and cook 1 min. until bubbly. Stir in cream and bring to a boil.Cook and stir 2 min. Drizzle over cake and down sides.
