COFFEE CAKE INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 cflour

3/4 csugar
-
2 1/2 tspbaking powder

3/4 tspsalt
-
1/4 cshortening
-
3/4 cmilk

1egg
-
TOPPING INGREDIENTS

1/3 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

1/4 cflour
-
1/2 tspcinnamon

3 Tbspbutter, firm butter.
How to Make Favorite Coffee Cake
- Heat Oven to 375 degrees.
- Grease round layer pan, 9 x 1 1/2 inches.
or square pan, 8 x 8 x2 inches or 9 x9 x2 inches. - Blend all ingredients except Topping.
Beat vigorously 1/2 minute. Spread in greased pan. - Make Topping:
Mix brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and firm butter until crumbly. - Sprinkle Topping over batter.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm.
