  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup cocoa, unsweetened
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 EGGS
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • FROSTING
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups cocoa, unsweetened
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make fail-proof chocolate cake

  • Step 1
    preheat oven to 350 F/175C. Grease and flour 2 9 inch pans.
  • Step 2
    first set of ingredients is for cake. stir together all the dry ingredients. then add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. with a mixer, beat for 3 minutes
  • Step 3
    then take a cup of boiling water and pour into mix, stirring by hand slowly. pour into pans
  • Step 4
    bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. set aside to cool for 10 minutes.
  • Step 5
    for the frosting, cream butter till white and light. add cocoa n sugar alternately. add milk and vanilla. mix well to a spreading consistency.
  • Step 6
    spread frosting on one of the cakes, topped with the other and then frost hole cake.
