  • 2 c
    white sugar
  • 1 3/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 3/4 c
    cocoa, unsweetened
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 c
  • 2 EGGS

  • 1/2 c
    vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract

  • 3/4 c
  • 1 1/2 c
    cocoa, unsweetened
  • 2/3 c
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How to Make fail-proof chocolate cake


  1. preheat oven to 350 F/175C. Grease and flour 2 9 inch pans.
  2. first set of ingredients is for cake. stir together all the dry ingredients. then add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. with a mixer, beat for 3 minutes
  3. then take a cup of boiling water and pour into mix, stirring by hand slowly. pour into pans
  4. bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. set aside to cool for 10 minutes.
  5. for the frosting, cream butter till white and light. add cocoa n sugar alternately. add milk and vanilla. mix well to a spreading consistency.
  6. spread frosting on one of the cakes, topped with the other and then frost hole cake.
