Ingredients
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup cocoa, unsweetened
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 cup milk
- 2 EGGS
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- FROSTING
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups cocoa, unsweetened
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Step 1preheat oven to 350 F/175C. Grease and flour 2 9 inch pans.

Step 2first set of ingredients is for cake. stir together all the dry ingredients. then add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. with a mixer, beat for 3 minutes

Step 3then take a cup of boiling water and pour into mix, stirring by hand slowly. pour into pans

Step 4bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. set aside to cool for 10 minutes.

Step 5for the frosting, cream butter till white and light. add cocoa n sugar alternately. add milk and vanilla. mix well to a spreading consistency.

Step 6spread frosting on one of the cakes, topped with the other and then frost hole cake.
