I had something like this at my cousin's when I was a child. I remember my aunt telling me about how to make it; but she has since passed away some years ago. I experimented a little, et voila! My family and friends love it! It's awesome served hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

1 box or packaged yellow cake mix
1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple
1 can (21 oz.) cherry or berry pie filling
1 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
1/2 cup or 1 stick of butter

How To Make fabulous dump cake

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease or spray with vegetable spray a 13 x 9 x 3 pan.

Step 2

Dump un-drained pineapple into pan; spread evenly. Dump in pie filling and spread into even layer. Dump dry cake mix onto pie filling layer; spread evenly. Sprinkle nuts over cake mix layer. Place slices of butter evenly over top.
Step 3

Bake for 48-53 minutes. Serve warm or cooled.
