Ingredients
- 8 ounces softened cream cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- CAKE
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1-1/3 cup milk
- 4 baking chocolate, unsweetened squares, melted

Step 1FILLING: Beat cream cheese and 1 egg well. Beat in second egg. Add sugar, cornstarch and vanilla. Beat. Set aside.

Step 2CAKE: Cream butter and sugar together well. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time. Add vanilla.

Step 3Sift dry ingredients together in bowl. Add flour mixture in 3 parts, alternately with milk in 2 parts, beginning and ending with flour.

Step 4Stir in melted chocolate. Pour 1/2 batter into greased 9X13 inch pan. Put dabs of cream cheese mixture over top. Smooth. Put dabs of remaining batter here and there over cheese mixture. Smooth as best as you can.

Step 5Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes. Cool. Frost with a chocolate cream cheese icing.
