We got this recipe from a family friend (Elaine) and don't know where she got it from but its a favorite for me and all my siblings.

  • 8 oz
    package of creamcheese
  • 1/3 c
  • 1
  • 1 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1 1/2 c
    unsifted all purpose flour
  • 1 c
  • 1/3 c
    cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/3 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1 c
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1 tsp

How to Make Elaine's Creamcheese Cupcakes


  1. FILLING: Combine creamcheese, sugar, and egg and beat until smooth. Add chocolate chips; set aside.
  2. CUPCAKES: Combine ingredients in order listed in a large mixing bowl, blending well on low speed.
  3. Fill 24 baking cups in a muffin pan halfway full with batter.
  4. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of creamcheese filling onto each cupcake.
  5. Bake at 350* for about 20 minutes.
